She married Homer Lee Althouse Sr. in First Friends Church, Salem, Ohio., April 12, 1957. Homer was born April 7, 1936. Homer is the son of Carl Samuel Gamble and Helen Lucille Stackhouse. Ref: VLM1 Homer and Marilyn lived and owned the Althouse Farm with his brother, Earl, for many years. About 1990 or so, they sold the farm and moved to Winona, Ohio. The farm was located on State Route 9 outside of Winona. Ref: VLM1
