John Irvan Tedrow, 66, of Beloit, Ohio, died July 27, 1998, in Alliance Community Hospital, Alliance, Ohio.

He was born March 26, 1932, in Aleppo, a son of Clyde and Myrtle Gorby Tedrow.

Mr. Tedrow was a member of the Brethren Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. She retired from Royal China Co. in Sebring, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen Sine Tedrow, whom he married December 29, 1956; three daughters, Debbie DeGroff and Kimberly Durenda, both of Alliance, and Mary Harrison of Beloit; two sons, John "Sam" Tedrow of Bellville, Mich., and Robert Tedrow of Damascus, Ohio; three sisters, Mary Martin, Ruth and Alice Varner, all of Wind Ridge; two brothers, Niles Tedrow of Wind Ridge and Harold Tedrow of Salineville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Deceased is a brother, Lloyd Tedrow.

Services were held in Hundred, W.Va., and interment was in St. Cloud, W.Va.
