837. Edgar James⁶ Guilbert (Lucinda⁵ Jordan, Nancy⁴ Gorby, Job³, Thomas², Samuel¹) was born in South Olive, OH. 1872. Edgar died 1932 in Tuscon, AZ., at 60 years of age.

He married Jennie Reed in Western Kansas.. (1932) Edgar James Guilbert, While attending Ada College, OH (now Ohio Northern University) when the La Grippe (influenza) first struck the country, he was stricken and never fully regained his health. He went west where he had a large cattle ranch in western Kansas. He was elected representative and served in the Topeka Legislature. His later years were spent in Tuscon, AZ where he died in 1932.

Edgar James Guilbert and Jennie Reed had the following children:

+ 1983 i. Harold Reed⁷ Guilbert.

1984 ii. Edna Virginia Guilbert. She married Merrill Wrench.
