195. Lucinda5 Jordan (Nancy4 Gorby, Job3, Thomas2, Samuel1) was born February 8, 1848. Lucinda died May 3, 1922 at 74 years of age.

She married Walter Downey Guilbert. Walter was born in Guernsey Co, OH. February 11, 1844. Walter was the son of Heller Edward Guilbert and ?. Walter died February 1911 in Columbus, OH., at 67 years of age. (1936) Walter Downey Guilbert was auditor of the State of Ohio for three terms.

His grandmother, Mrs Walter Downey, was a Clark, a cousin of Rebecca Clark (daughter of Faithful Gorby Clark), who married John Gorby, son of Job. He was born in Guernsey Co, OH. His father, Heller Edward Guilbert, came from Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands ans was one of the pioneers of Guernsey Co, and doubtless that is the way it got its name.

Walter Downey Guilbert had a general store in South Olive, Noble Co, OH, and later was elected Auditor of that county and the family moved to Caldwell, the county seat. He then was appointed Chief Clerk in the Auditor of State's office, serving for two terms before being elected Auditor of State. He served in that office for a longer term than any other man served - five terms in all, or 21 years, a splendid record for any man to make.

Later he was president of the Capitol Savings and Trust Company of Columbus. He was a 33rd Degree Mason. He died in Columbus.

Lucinda Jordan and Walter Downey Guilbert had the following children:

child 838 iii. Walter Jordan Guilbert was born in Caldwell, Noble Co, OH. May 10, 1882. Walter died January 2, 1911 in San Antonio, TX., at 28 years of age. (1932) Walter Jordan Guilbert attended Ohio State University but did not graduate as his health would not permit it. He then went to his father's bank where he had charge of the rentals of the 16 -story building. His health failing again, he went West, later to Texas, where he became very ill and died in San Antonio January 2, 1911, just six weeks before the death of his father.
