760. Lillard Gorby⁶ Curry (Henry Albon⁵ Gorby, Thomas⁴, Job³, Thomas², Samuel¹) was born in Pierce, Green Co, KY. February 9, 1900. Lillard died August 15, 1977 in Greensburg, KY., at 77 years of age.

He married Elizabeth Robertson March 31, 1930. Elizabeth was born in Rockport, Ohio Co, KY. December 6, 1906. Ref: RCM1-11.27.98 - Last name incorrectly listed as 'Patterson' in the 1936 Gorby book. (1936) Lillard Gorby Curry managed his father's farm and traded in stock, graduated from Bowling Green, KY, State Normal in June, 1930. He is now Superintendent of schools at Glasgow Junction, KY, their present address having been there since 1930.

When a grown young man, almost a six-footer, Lillard decided he wanted an education. He had only attended a small country school, so he went to Bowling Green, KY, and entered the eighth grade, which took more courage than most boys at that age and stature possess. He completed the eighth grade and high school, and in 1930 won his Bachelor's degree at the State Normal there. Such a step as this means a determination that will lead to success in his chosen work.

1855 i. Clay Howard⁷ Curry was born in Park City, KY. October 23, 1936. Clay died October 23, 1936 in Park City, KY., at less than one year of age. Ref: RCM1-11.27.98

+ 1857 iii. Rachel Gorby Curry was born September 27, 1940.
