759. Sylvester Clay6 Curry (Henry Albon5 Gorby, Thomas4, Job3, Thomas2, Samuel1) was born in Pierce, Green Co, KY. March 13, 1896. Sylvester died November 18, 1969 at 73 years of age. His body was interred. Greensburg Cemetery.

He married Clarice N Patterson June 4, 1917. Clarice was born in Pierce, Green Co, KY. September 15, 1899. Clarice died October 11, 1983 in Valdosta, GA., at 84 years of age. Her body was interred. Greensburg Cemetery. Ref: RCM1-11.27.98

Sylvester resided :. In 1936, 3821 Southern Pkwy, Louisville, KY. (1936) Sylvester Clay Curry taught in Green Co, Ky for three years, then served for ten months in the World War overseas, and insists he was a good soldier. He served as county clerk of Green Co, KY for twelve years, running many votes ahead of his ticket each time, showing his popularity in the county. From that he went to Louisville as Chief Deputy US Marshall of the Western District of Kentucky, and since February 1, 1936 , Chief Probation officer for the above mentioned district. For years he has taken a leading part in Democratic politics of Kentucky.

He is a charter member if the Greensburg, KY, Post No 124, American Legion, member of DAV Post No 6, Greensburg, Lodge No 54, Masons, Greensburg Chapter Eastern Star No 232, Royal Arch & Knights Templars in Masonry. He is Trustee of Campbellsville Junior College - a Baptist School at Campbellsville, KY.

Clay and Clarice are most hospitable, genial, good mixers, and make hosts of friends.
