720. William A⁶ Gorby (Josephus⁵, John⁴, Job³, Thomas², Samuel¹) was born in Fork Ridge, WV. February 20, 1849.

He married Elizabeth Merriman March 1916. Elizabeth was born September 6, 1842. Ref: CEN1880 - Listed as age 36. (1936) William A Gorby moved with his parents to Bellaire, OH in 1854. He became a manufacturer of glass on a large scale, moving first to Findlay, OH with his factory, then building factories in Marion, IN. He later sold his factories and became purchasing agent for the US Glass Co of Pittsburgh. He lived in Detroit, MI for many year, finally moving to CA. He retired early from business activities, being quite a wealthy man. He died at the home of his daughter Mabel (Gorby) Penoyar (or Benoyar), in Detroit in November, 1929, and was taken to Bellaire, OH for burial.

William A Gorby and Elizabeth Merriman had the following children:
