She married William LeRoy Willsey in In her parents' home., August 2, 1945. William was born in Sayre, Beckham Co, OK. August 29, 1913. (1978) William Leroy Willsey was in WW II, 45th Division, Battery A, 158th Field Artillery Battalion. He was captured on the Anzio Beach in Italy, February 23, 1944, and was a prisoner of was for 14 months. He was held in two or three camps, marching through snow quite deep, and Germans killed those who would stumble or fall out of exhaustion or from cold. His last camp was Stalag IIIB, which was liberated by the Russians. They did not stop to see that they got back to their units. Our own men had to go and get them.
