22. Emily³ Gorby (Joseph², Joseph¹) was born October 9, 1880. Emily died 1969. [MVG1]

She married Joseph Messer July 25, 1901. Joseph was born 1878. Joseph died 1958.

Emily Gorby and Joseph Messer had the following child:

47 i. Margaret⁴ Messer was born 1905. Ref CBG1: Head of Art department at the University at Regina, Saskatchewan. (No dates tlg).

She often visited the Gorby cousins in Ireland. She says they are all charming people, and all are catholic, having married into Catholic families.

She has found the proof of Joseph Gorby's history in the record office in London, England. She has been to the Horseleap Church, and to Clara in Cavan.

In the Genealogical Office in Dublin, Ireland, she had found records that tell of a Thomas Gorby in the parish of Kilmanaghan in the Benefice of Ardnurcher (in 1827). in the perpetual curacy of Clara. All other records sent to Dublin before 1845 were distroyed during the burnings of 1916. The Rector of Horseleap Church in Clara told her that he had records of the Gorbys there.
