44. Isaac⁴ Gorby (Eli³, Thomas², Samuel¹) was born August 23, 1823. Isaac died February 19, 1888 at 64 years of age. His body was interred. Buried in Beelers Station Cemetery, east of Moundsville, WV.

He married Elizabeth Cox in Marshall Co., WV., December 15, 1842. Elizabeth was born August 19, 1820. Elizabeth died June 6, 1902 at 81 years of age. Her body was interred. Buried in Beelers Station Cemetery, east of Moundsville, WV. (1978) After his father Eli Gorby's death, his widow married Jacob Geho. Isaac Gorby resented this and trouble ensued, so he was raised by John Ryan, his maternal grandfather.

Isaac's will is on file in the Moundsville, WV courthouse. Only these four children were mentioned in that will.

Isaac Gorby and Elizabeth Cox had the following children:

+ 239 i. Mary Ann⁵ Gorby was born October 18, 1843.

+ 240 ii. Josephus Gorby was born July 12, 1845.

+ 241 iii. Phoebe Jane Gorby was born October 22, 1851.

+ 242 iv. Angeline Gorby was born August 2, 1857.
