192. Hannah Ann5 Jordan (Nancy4 Gorby, Job3, Thomas2, Samuel1) was born March 29, 1842. Hannah died January 9, 1935 in Akron, OH., at 92 years of age.

She married George Henry Masters. George was born February 14, 1841. George died May 5, 1912 at 71 years of age. (1936) George Henry Masters was a farmer. He served during the Civil War. He is buried in the Cambridge, OH cemetery. (1936) Hannah Ann (Jordan) Masters, "Aunt Hannah", dearly loved by everyone who knew her, much credit is due for knowledge of the older descendants of Job Gorby. She lived to be nearly 93 years old, retaining her bright, clear mind to the mast. Her last conversation was to give information regarding two of Job Gorby's daughters and their descendants.

Aunt Hannah, in recent years, divided her time among her three daughters, her death occurring at the home of her daughter, Effie (Masters) Miller of Akron, OH. She and her husband are buried in the Cambridge, OH cemetery.

She was a wonderful character, a good wife and mother, a genuine Christian, and loved by all who knew her. Almost to the last her mind was active, and her hands busy with beautiful quilt blocks. One was fortunate to have known her.

Hannah Ann Jordan and George Henry Masters had the following children:

child 824 i. John William6 Masters was born August 24, 1867. John died March 30, 1894 at 26 years of age.

child + 826 iii. Effie Masters was born March 31, 1872.

child 827 iv. Martha Masters was born September 5, 1874. (1936) For years, Martha "Mattie" Masters has been co-manager of the Marietta, OH, Tea Room, a most attractive place, serving delicious food, the two charming hostesses making their guests feel most welcome. She is most capable and energetic, a pleasant hostess, and interested in both the Gorby and Jordan family tree and history.
