He married Morjorie Lucille Van Horn in Las Vegas, NV., August 2, 1924. Morjorie was born in Memphis, TN. May 29, 1901. Morjorie is the daughter of James Arthur Van Horn Dr and Willie Mae Moore. (1965) Morjorie Lucille Van Horn was eight years old when her family moved to Coral Gables, FL. At sixteen she arrived in NM with her family. She received her education at Highlands University in NM, and later taught in several places before her marriage to John Wallace Rowland. (1965) John Wallace Rowland had Retail stores in Hope, Artesia, Alamagorda and Deming, NM at various times. He has been in the retailing business for over 40 years in New Mexico.

John Wallace Rowland and Morjorie Lucille Van Horn had the following child:
