127. Lena Harriet⁵ Pierce (Lenah⁴ Gorby, Joseph³, Joseph², Samuel¹) was born in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle, DE. September 29, 1828. Lena died February 17, 1892 in Columbiana Co, OH., at 63 years of age.

She married George W Justison in Columbiana Co, OH., June 5, 1862. George was born in Middleton Twp, Columbiana Co, OH. April 3, 1830. George was the son of George Justison and Mary M Keener. George died 1908 in Columbiana Co, OH., at 78 years of age. Ref: LLJ1 - From Lena Gorby Justison's Bible. (1936) In 1862, Lena Harriet Pierce went to Columbiana Co, OH to visit her Uncle Samuel and Aunt Ann (Pierce) Gorby, and there met George W Justison. Samuel Gorby moved to Columbiana Co first, and later was followed by George Justison, father of George W Justison. He bought land adjoining that of Samuel Gorby's land, so it was quite natural that young George and Lena should meet and fall in love, which they did, and lost no time in doing so, for they were married June 5, 1862, by Rev Samuel Eaton, in Columbiana Co, where they spent their lives.

(1997) True love? Maybe, but the fast courtship may also have had something to do with the facts that she was a 34 year old spinster and he a recent widower with three children.

615 i. George Merritt⁶ Justison was born in Columbiana Co, OH. June 5, 1863. George died December 9, 1863 in Columbiana Co, OH., at less than one year of age.

616 ii. Thomas Sherwood Justison was born in Columbiana Co, OH. October 6, 1864. Thomas died December 21, 1864 in Brandywine Hundred, New Castle Co, DE., at less than one year of age. Ref: LLJ1
