1656. George Nelson⁷ Gorby (George Henry⁶, Samuel Stilley⁵, Samuel George⁴, Joseph³, Joseph², Samuel¹) was born December 25, 1905. George died September 17, 1984 at 78 years of age. His body was interred. Clarkson Oh. Columbiana CO.

He married three times. He married Verna Knight AFT. 1926. Verna was born ABT. 1912. He married Betty Knight. Ref: LDB1 2.2.98 - She was Steve's common law wife.

He married Ida Francis Cross in New Cumberland WV., August 29, 1923. Ida was born January 2, 1904. Ida was the daughter of Olivar Cross, Jr and Amelia Kretzschmar. Ida died August 28, 1926 at 22 years of age. Her body was interred. In 1926, Clarkson Cemetery, Columbiana, OH. (1936) Ida (Cross) Gorby's maternal grandparents were from Germany and her father had some Indian ancestry.
