525. Levi⁶ Gorby (John⁵, Samuel George⁴, Joseph³, Joseph², Samuel¹) was born October 20, 1843. Levi died 1867 at 23 years of age.

He married Emeline Ward. Emeline was born in OH. 1851. Emeline died 1936 in Columbiana Co, OH., at 85 years of age. Her body was interred. Buried in East Carmel Cemetery, Middleton Twp, Columbiana Co, OH. Ref: BK11

Ref: CEN1880 - Emeline (Ward) Gorby worked as a servant for R C Campbell family. This was after her husband Levi had died. Her daughter Susan lived with her at the Campbell's but her son William A lived with his grandfather John Gorby.

Ref: CEN1900 - Listed with her is niece Cora William Kellog, born November 1889 in OH.

Levi resided :. Lived at Carmel, OH.

Levi's Military Service:. Civil War veteran. (1936) Levi Gorby was a Private, Btry. C, 3rd Reg. Pa. Vol. Heavy Art. Enrolled Feb. 25, 1864, at New Brighton, Pa., mustered into U. S. service Feb. 26, 1864, same place. Mustered out and honorably discharged Nov. 9, 1865. Born Middletown, 0h. 20 years of age at enlistment.

Ref: BK11 - This source states he died summer of 1867, but he has children born after that date.

Levi Gorby and Emeline Ward had the following children:

1529 i. Lena⁷ Gorby. She married John Henderson.

1530 ii. Susan Gorby was born ABT. 1875. She married Selkirk Huston.
