(1978) Faithful Gorby, (Called Aunt Fata by her nieces and nephews) was born in 1775 in Chester Co, PA, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Allman) Gorby. There is no record of Thomas Gorby out of Chester Co un til 1783 when he was on the tax list in Westmoreland Co, PA. Faithful married Joseph Clark about 1795, and at that date her father was living in Greene Co, PA. She is buried at Chillicothe, OH. Nothing more has been found concerning her.
