719. John Banks⁶ Gorby (Josephus⁵, John⁴, Job³, Thomas², Samuel¹) was born in Moundsville, WV. July 29, 1847. John died January 28, 1927 in Newark, OH., at 79 years of age.

He married Angeline Murdoch. Angeline was born in OH. October 4, 1849. Angeline died August 23, 1922 at 72 years of age. Angeline resided :. Zanesville, OH. (1936) John Banks Gorby moved with his parents to Bellaire, OH in 1854. He and his wife moved to Newark, OH. In 1864 the went to the Civil War as a drummer boy, then only 17 years old.

He was an engineer with the B & O Railroad most of his life. He died January 28, 1927, and was buried in Newark, having a military funeral and burial.
