853. John R6 Parsons (Seth J5, Joseph4, Hannah Etta3 Gorby, Thomas2, Samuel1) was born in Wetzel Co, WV. December 3, 1868.
He married twice. He married Addie Yoho. He married Caroline Cochran in Wetzel Co, WV., April 30, 1929. Caroline was born in Wetzel Co, WV. ABT. 1868. Caroline is the daughter of Jacob Cochran and Katherine Long. (1997) Source: Descendants of Morgan Morgan found at the New Martinsville, WV, Library. Caroline was a midwife. Caroline and John Parsons, the natural parents of Kitty G Cochran, married 8 years after Kittie's death, about 36 years after Kittie was conceived in 1892.
Ref: LCF1 (1997) According to Parsons family member, Wilda Siburt, "It was common knowledge that John [Parsons] was the father of Kittie [G Cochran], born in 1893... and John never denied that the unwed mother was Caroline 'Cal' Cochran.".
After two divorces, John and Caroline married. John taught in a rural school, one or two rooms. After he and Caroline married, they lived on American or Huff Ridge. John received a small pension from West Virginia Retirement Fund. Wilda believes John spent his final days with his son, Thomas.
