1535. Alonzo⁷ Early (Bartlett⁷, Malinda⁶ Gorby, John⁵, Samuel George⁴, Joseph³, Joseph², Samuel¹) was born in E Palestine, Columbiana Co, OH. January 18, 1893.

He married twice. He married Bessie McLennon AFT. 1914. He married Grace L Dickson 1895. Grace died 1914. (1936) Alonzo Early graduated from high school at East Palestine, OH i n1893, from Mt Hope College, Rogers, OH with PhB degree in 1897, and from Graduate School of Theology, Oberlin, OH with BD degree in 1903.

He entered the ministry of the Congregational Church, preaching for them 18 years, his last charge being at Jennings, LA. He learned to love that part of the South, but there were few Congregational congregations there, so he joined the Louisiana Conference of the M E Church South. He has filled some of the best pulpits in the state and is at present located at Elizabeth, LA. He has been in the South since 1908.

In 1895 Alonzo Early married Grace L Dickson, the mother of his children. She was a splendid wife, mother and church worker. She died in 1914, and later he married Mrs Bessie McLennon. No children.

Alonzo Early and Grace L Dickson had the following children:

2925 ii. James Bartlett Early. He married Anna Mae Hunter.
