193. Patton Moreland5 Jordan (Nancy4 Gorby, Job3, Thomas2, Samuel1) was born in Hiramsburg, Nobel Co, OH. February 21, 1844. Patton died October 14, 1922 in South Olive, OH., at 78 years of age.
He married Palmyra Webber. Palmyra was born September 26, 1847. Palmyra died August 27, 1910 in South Olive, OH., at 62 years of age. (1936) Patton Moreland Jordan was named for Patton Moreland who married Job Gorby's youngest daughter, Rachel.
He and his wife lived at South Olive, OH. Moreland Jordan, as he was called, was merchant, railroad agent, and postmaster at different times in his career. He and his wife are buried at South Olive where they spent most of their lives.
He enlisted in the Union Army at the time of the Civil War, but on reaching Cincinnati, OH, he was discharged on the ground of physical disability. However, he served with a local militia company at the time of Morgan's Raid.
Patton Moreland Jordan and Palmyra Webber had the following children:

Lawrence Clifton Jordan lives in South Olive, OH where he served for many years as railroad agent, and has been postmaster there for many
years. He is also engaged in the mercantile business.
